Ideas Lab 2022 (Brussels, Belgium)
The 9th edition of the CEPS Ideas Lab event will take place on June 1st 2022 at Blue Point Brussels, on the day after the project’s Final Conference. This interactive event will bring together CEPS Young Thinkers of Europeans and experienced experts in EU policymaking – the objective is to address the topic of how the EU can re-establish peace and prosperity; or whether this is an impossible dream.
The 2022 Ideas Lab event will feature a “Lab Session” dedicated to topics such as strengthening the EU’s role as a global governance actor, EU migration diplomacy and social investment in the EU. After a message by CEPS Chairperson Joaquín Almunia and a presentation on “What do Europeans expect from the EU now: What do recent elections and opinion polls tell us” (in cooperation with Bertelsmann Stiftung), the afternoon will feature a “Food for Thought” session, addressing Europe’s next refugee crisis, the implications of soaring energy prices and the geopolitical implications of the Ukraine war.
